WORKSHOPS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
The Office of Career Management (OCM) offers workshops and special events that address career, education, job search, and retirement issues for NYU-SCPS students. After a student has taken one of our career management workshops they are eligible to meet with a career information specialist at no charge and have access to our career resources during our office operating hours.

Knowing the right way to do things in business and social situations is crucial for success. Learn how to make a great first impression, conduct proper introductions, cultural dos and don'ts, and self presentation.
- Job Search Strategies
June 27th
6:30 – 8pm
Develop an effective and successful plan for your job search.
- Leveraging and Marketing Your Degree
July 15th
6:30 – 8pm
Leveraging your degree means marketing your education along with your career experiences, skills, and accomplishments in a way that demonstrates your potential value to your employer or prospective employers. This interactive workshop provides a framework to help you advance within your current company or launch a job search with confidence.
- Playing Up Your Uniqueness
July 28th
4:30 – 6pm
We are all unique. Defining and discussing this uniqueness effectively is an asset in the job search. This workshop helps participants reveal their own thumbprint and get comfortable speaking about their uniqueness and strengths.
