Office of Career Management

COMMUNITY CAREER SERVICES

The Office of Career Management (OCM) offers individual counseling, coaching, and assessments with career management professionals. The following career, education, and job search options for one-on-one work with an experienced career counselor are available by appointment. Assessments are taken prior to the 50-minute counseling sessions, including the Strong Interest Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and/or others recommended by the counselor. For your convenience, daytime and evening appointments are available.

CONSULTATION
An exploratory session for individuals who are uncertain about which services would best meet their needs: $55.

CAREER COUNSELING
  • One session, one assessment: $120.
  • Three sessions, one assessment: $300.
  • Three sessions, two assessments: $325.
  • Four sessions, three assessments: $400.

COACHING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE: $650 (6 sessions).
NYU is proud to introduce this six-session Coaching and Professional Development package. Techniques for developing your professional presence are explored. Achieving the pinnacle of your professional success is the goal of this results-oriented process.

COMPREHENSIVE JOB SEARCH PREPARATION SERIES: $340 (4 sessions).
Individual job search advisement is for those who have defined plans but need help achieving them. A counselor helps you create a job-hunting plan, revise your résumé, draft correspondence, learn interviewing and negotiating skills, and explore electronic career information. This series is a soup-to-nuts alternative that allows you to focus closely on the areas in which you need the most assistance.

RÉSUMÉ OR INTERVIEW PREP: $110.

GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL ADVISEMENT PACKAGE: $300. 
The decision-making and application process for graduate and professional schools can be overwhelming. Meeting with a counselor during this time can help you define your career and education goals, determine appropriate programs, and prepare for the admissions process.

ADDITIONAL SESSIONS: $100.
