M.S. in Fundraising

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Colleague,

Nonprofit organizations are increasing rapidly in number and becoming more sophisticated in their fundraising. They need highly educated fundraisers with the imagination and expertise to raise ever-increasing amounts of funds year after year.

The NYU Heyman Center is the nation's preeminent resource for educating the fundraisers and grantmakers so critical to the success of the nonprofit sector. Our curriculum is diverse and innovative, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Our many distinguished instructors have gained a wealth of practical experience from years of work at many of the world-class institutions based in New York City. Our classes are small, with fewer than 25 students, to provide the individualized attention required to help develop your personal vision and professional direction. You will find that your classmates, with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience, are as dedicated as you to improving our world. They will form the core of your new professional network. You will cross paths with them in the years to come as you take on more responsibility in your career and move into your own leadership role.

An advanced university degree is more necessary than ever for jobseekers. Earning your Master's degree at New York University not only will provide a valuable credential for your job search but also will help you develop the strength and confidence to help you ensure your organization’s future.

Sincerely,
Lewis Brindle, B.S., M.A.
