The Center for the Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate was created to promote research and explore innovative strategies to further sustainable practices within the real estate and construction industries. SBE addresses the environmental, social, and economic concerns that affect decision-making, policy-making, and development in the public and private sectors.
By identifying, exploring, and implementing critical new technologies and policies, SBE aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices in real estate and construction—and provide future leaders in the industry with an in-depth, applied understanding of best global practices.
