The Graduate Certificate in Construction Management provides students with the opportunity to develop the specific skills required to gain a competitive edge in the industry, from legal principles and accounting to cost management and technologies. Classes are taught by leading construction management professionals, providing unique networking opportunities with faculty and like-minded students, all of whom are immersed in the industry.
The program is designed for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to obtain a foundation for a career in real estate and those who hold a graduate degree but seek education in a new career area or specialization within the industry. This certificate is ideal for students interested in pursuing further graduate study without yet committing to a master’s program.
If a student opts to pursue an M.S. in Construction Management at another point, coursework completed in the graduate certificate program may be applicable toward completion of the master’s degree. The responsibility for meeting degree requirements rests with the candidate, who is expected to abide by the policies regarding time limits .
The graduate certificate is designed to provide a foundation for professional practice and further study in the field. It consists of a subset of courses in the master’s degree program that corresponds entirely to the first six courses of the core curriculum.
