ADMISSIONS

The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate values students who are confident in their ability to master the required material, have strong written and oral communication skills, and have the courage to ask challenging questions and contribute to class discussions. The Institute welcomes those with either educational or professional backgrounds in law, architecture, planning, accounting, engineering, and other related disciplines.

Applicants should have two years of relevant professional experience. Applicants with less than two years of relevant professional experience may be admitted with the requirement of completing a mandatory relevant internship for credit and a one-week NYU-SCPS summer intensive course. The Admissions Committee evaluates students’ professional experience not only in terms of years, but also with regard to the depth and breadth of their experience, responsibilities, and progression.
