CERTIFICATE IN BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING USING REVIT

This certificate provides intensive hands-on training for production end-users, BIM project managers, and other design professionals seeking to create and work on intelligent building models in an integrated construction documentation environment.

Upon completion of this certificate program, students have the knowledge and skills to:

• Apply Building Information Modeling (BIM) core concepts, principles, and strategies to building projects.
• Develop a collaborative working environment with BIM.
• Choose parametric modeling and employ Revit software for building projects.
• Design building geometry, identify spatial relationships, and develop and capture geographic information using BIM.
• Measure quantities and identify properties of building components.
• Perform BIM design development, contract administration, and coordination.

This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete three courses.

Those with little or no experience with BIM must begin the program with Introduction to Building Information Modeling/AEAC1-CE8005.
