Sustainable design and environmental performance have become driving forces in the building industry, and this certificate provides an opportunity to add an area of expertise to your professional credentials, or an opportunity to make a career change. This program of study for owners, property, facility and project managers, design professionals, contractors, attorneys, lenders, manufacturers and others in the building industry covers topics ranging from site planning, design, construction, regulation, standards, legal issues, marketing and building management to LEED AP exam preparation.
Upon completion of the program, students have attained extensive knowledge of:
This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete four courses ¿ the following two required courses and two additional elective courses from the Sustainable Design, Construction and Development program area. Principles of Environmentally Sustainable Design/X63.9390 and Managing Sustainable Projects/X63.9641.
