The White Paper Program
The White Paper Program is intended to further the goal of the REIT Center to sponsor serious discussion, analysis and research.

The Center’s goal is to publish periodically a select number of White Papers on key issues relating to the securitization, corporatization and consolidation of the commercial real estate industry and the evolution of publicly traded REITs and other REOCs. The objective is to encourage higher levels of scholarship and original thinking than are found in much of what is currently published about REITs and public real estate companies.

The REIT Center Chairman, Professor Lawrence Longua, along with the Program’s Editorial Board, are charged with achieving the mission of the Center and maintaining standards. In order to stimulate scholarship, the Editorial Board is authorized to provide grants of up to $5,000 to White Paper authors (particularly authors from academia who undertake a research project) and to grant Associate status to authors and other significant contributors to the Center. Members of the Center’s Advisory Board and other affiliates are encouraged to recommend topics and authors for the White Paper Program and candidates for the Associates program. Select White Paper authors will have an opportunity to present their papers at Center sponsored events such as the Center’s annual REIT conference.

Following are select White Papers that have been published by the Center:
