Dr. Mayo received his M.B.A. from Syracuse University and his Ph.D. in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Previously, he served as the Academic Dean for the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Mayo teaches Applied Research, Human Resources Management, Advanced Topics, and Training and Evaluation. He was awarded the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ highest teaching and service honors in recognition of his extraordinary academic abilities and service to students, and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching at the State University of New York. He is a certified hotel educator and hospitality trainer.
