Tisch Center Graduate Programs

ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES

Advisement and student support at the Tisch Center is multilayered and meaningful, always crossing curricula and careers. Upon admission to the Tisch Center, each student is assigned an academic advisor who helps guide the graduate process of academic rigor and industry expectations. Tisch Center advisement is available by advance appointment and is located on the fifth floor of 10 Astor Place, between Broadway and Lafayette Street. Many graduate faculty and advisors maintain office hours by appointment at NYU Midtown Center at 11 West 42nd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, before or following classes located in the same facility.

Students speak with their academic advisor about a multitude of academic issues and concerns, such as graduation requirements, prerequisites, time management, challenging coursework, successful study habits, and academic policy questions. Specialized industry career advisement is also available on resume and cover letter development, interviewing skills and strategies, internships, and career planning. The divisional dean hosts open office hours on a monthly basis and many students form a lasting and meaningful bond with their Tisch Center faculty.
