M.S. in Hospitality Industry Studies

CONCENTRATIONS

Once you have learned the fundamentals through the core curriculum, you select a concentration from four specialized areas: Hospitality Investments, Revenue Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Hotel Operations.

Upon approval from an advisor, you may substitute up to two courses from the M.S. in Sports Business or the M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management for two courses from any of the concentrations.

HOSPITALITY INVESTMENTS
The concentration in Hospitality Investments allows you to analyze investments and markets and study a broad range of financial issues, including markets and instruments. You also gain specific knowledge of the techniques and strategies of entrepreneurship.

REVENUE MANAGEMENT
The Revenue Management concentration provides an in-depth look at pricing, branding, and marketing channels. You also gain familiarity with statistical models.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
The customer relationship is key in the hospitality industry. This concentration examines this relationship from all sides including training, evaluation, and behavior.  

HOTEL OPERATIONS
In the Hotel Operations concentration, you gain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals, analyze the sales process, and learn management techniques and the specifics of the world of the hotel executive.
