The Graduate Certificate in Sports Business accommodates the needs of two kinds of students: those
who have earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to obtain a foundation for a career in the sports
business without yet committing to a master’s program and those who already hold a graduate degree
but wish to pursue a new specialization in the industry.
To earn a graduate certificate, students may complete either of the two
concentrations
within the Master’s in Sports Business, or any five courses in the program with the approval of the
program director. Courses in the graduate certificate program may be used to satisfy some course
requirements for the master’s. The majority of students transfer into the degree program.
