"[My experience at Tisch] has certainly given me a better plan of attack for getting a job
after graduation. "
Being in close proximity to so many influential
organizations and people in the sports industry was a decisive factor for me in picking NYU. It
really trumped the opportunities offered by other schools.
Certain professors have given me great insight
into the inner workings of the sports industry, which has helped me significantly to refine my
immediate and long-term career goals. It has certainly given me a better plan of attack for getting
a job after graduation. The fact that so many of the professors are adjuncts who actually work in
the sports industry gives students immediate access to a network, not to mention understanding the
business in a real-life, non-theoretical way.
Going to classes in midtown Manhattan has been
extremely convenient. Many sports organizations are in midtown and I am just finishing up an
internship in public relations with the Major League Baseball Players Association and getting ready
to begin another at Korff Enterprises, an event and marketing company.
