Important news regarding the graduate programs in Tourism and Travel Management for the 2010–11 academic year
As we update our curriculum to reflect the latest professional requirements, changes, and trends in the industry, the Tisch Center will not be accepting new applicants into its Tourism and Travel Management graduate programs for Fall 2009 or Spring 2010. However, we are now accepting applications for the 2010–11 academic year.
The Master of Science in Tourism and Travel Management gives you the financial, analytic, and professional skills necessary to enhance your career and prepare you for senior positions in such areas as travel planning and management, tourism development, and marketing. You get an in-depth immersion in the field, with courses on issues such as customer relationship management and urban tourism development. The M.S. program is distinguished from traditional M.B.A. programs by an integration of theory with industry-specific analysis and insight that is immediately applicable in the workplace.
Bringing practical experience to the classroom, our renowned faculty are leaders in the field with a dedication to teaching excellence. The curriculum is specifically targeted to and taught within the context of today’s travel and tourism landscape.
If you’re looking to expand your industry knowledge without yet committing to a full master’s program, you may complete any of the four concentrations from the M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management, or any five courses in the program with the approval of the Program Director, to earn a Graduate Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management.
