Important news regarding the graduate programs in Tourism and Travel Management for the 2009-2010 academic year
As we update our curriculum to reflect the latest professional requirements, changes, and trends in the industry, the Tisch Center will not be accepting new applicants into its Tourism and Travel Management graduate programs for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010.
The Graduate Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management accommodates the needs of two kinds of students. First, there are those who have earned a bachelor’s degree and wish to obtain a foundation for a career in tourism and travel management without yet committing to a master’s program. Others already hold a graduate degree but seek education in a new career area or specialization within the industry.
To earn a graduate certificate, students may take any of the four concentrations within the Master’s in Tourism and Travel Management, or any five courses in the program with the approval of the program director. Courses in the graduate certificate program may be used to satisfy some course requirements for the master’s. When enrolled in the graduate certificate, you may apply to the Master of Science in Tourism and Travel Management, and the majority of students transfer into the degree program.
