M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management

MESSAGE FROM THE DIVISIONAL DEAN

Important news regarding the graduate programs in Tourism and Travel Management for Fall 2010.

In competitive times such as these, investment in higher education is of proven and sustainable value. In keeping with this, the Tisch Center’s unfailing commitment is to provide its students with academic curricula of outstanding quality reflective of industry professional requirements, trends, and issues.

In this light, we wish to inform you that the Tisch Center’s full-time faculty members are undertaking curricular revision of the Center’s M.S. in Tourism and Travel Management and the Graduate Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management to fashion a program of study that is current with industry practice (the business of tourism), forward-looking, and challenging. Also envisioned is inclusion of some on-line components affording students increased access and flexibility in pursuit of their graduate studies in tourism.

As a result of this revision, we will not accept new students into the Tourism and Travel Management program for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. With the revision well underway, we are now accepting applications for Fall 2010 only.

We at the Tisch Center are confident that once you review the revised Tourism and Travel Management curriculum offerings and innovative delivery format you will share our enthusiasm for the flexibility and learning opportunities it holds for you.

Sincerely,

Lalia Rach, B.S., M.B.A., Ed.D.
divisional dean, clinical professor, and HVS International Chair,
