The City Is Our Laboratory, Industry Is Our Faculty, and Our Students Are the Future of the Profession
As the world's premier tourist and sports destination, there is no better place to learn about the professions of hospitality, tourism, and sports management than New York City. At NYU's Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management, the city is truly our classroom.
The Tisch Center, now in its second decade, is named for Preston Robert "Bob" Tisch, the pioneer and visionary who has been recognized throughout the world for his leadership within the hospitality and sports industries. A consummate advocate for New York City for more than thirty years, he came to symbolize everything positive about New York hospitality, sports, and tourism.
The Tisch Center is a dynamic and growing educational and research center located in the heart of Manhattan. The Center offers an extensive complement of hospitality, tourism, and sports management academic programs, including two bachelor's degree programs, three master's degree programs, and numerous professional development courses, seminars, and certificate programs. Connections with industry are advanced through the prestigious NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, the annual Brener Hospitality Management Lecture Series, the annual Ramsey Sports Management Lecture Series, and the annual Grossinger Tourism Management Lecture Series.
In concert with our location in the financial, sports, and tourism capital of the world, course work is concentrated in the areas of asset management, financial analysis, destination management, product development, strategic marketing, sports management, and information technology. As entrepreneurial educators, our administrators and faculty are experienced in the profession and bring the reality of the industry into the classroom.
