INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS

Outstanding business leaders regularly visit the Tisch Center at the invitation of faculty, student clubs, and academic societies. The Tisch Center also hosts industry conferences and award dinners to raise funds for student scholarships. Several business luminaries have visited the Center, including Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman and chief executive officer of Loews Hotels; co-chairman of the board and office of the president, Loews Corporation and Terry Dale, former president and chief executive officer of Cruise Lines International Association.

TEACHING HOTELS AND SPORTS CENTERS
The concept of the teaching hotel and sports center was developed in recognition of the Center’s unique location in New York City, a premier hotel and sports city. Rather than build a practice laboratory on campus, the Center collaborates with the city’s leading hotels and sports businesses to provide a unique learning opportunity for our students. The goal is to combine our twenty-first century curriculum with actual business settings to ensure that classroom theory is blended with real-world experience.
