TEACHING SPORTS CENTERS
The concept of the teaching sports center was developed in recognition of the Tisch Center’s
unique location in the premier sports city in the world. Rather than build a practice laboratory on
campus, the Center collaborates with the city’s leading sports businesses to provide a unique
learning opportunity for our students. The goal is to combine our twenty-first century curriculum
into actual business settings to ensure that classroom theory is blended with reality. Our two
teaching sports centers are Chelsea Piers and the NBA Store.
