ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES

Advisement and student support at the Tisch Center is multilayered and meaningful, always crossing curricula and careers. Upon admission to the Tisch Center, each student is assigned an academic advisor who helps guide the process of academic rigor and industry expectations. Tisch Center advisement is available by advance appointment and located on the sixth floor of 838 Broadway, at the corner of 13th Street.

Students speak with their academic advisor on a multitude of academic issues and concerns, such as graduation requirements, pre-requisites, time management, challenging coursework, successful study habits, and academic policy questions. Specialized industry career advisement is available on resume and cover letter development, interviewing skills and strategies, internships, and career planning. The divisional dean hosts open office hours on a monthly basis, and many students form a lasting and meaningful bond with their Tisch Center faculty.
