Counselor Nomination Form

The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS) has launched the Access program. This 10-month course of study is designed for graduating high school seniors who seek to sharpen their academic and career-focused skills, while deciding what comes next.

Through NYUSPS Access, students will:

  • Increase readiness for college and/or the workforce
  • Learn in small classes as part of a selective cohort of students
  • Benefit from cohort-based advisories, led by an academic coach
  • Be conditionally admitted into an associate‚Äôs degree program in business, healthcare administration, or information systems management
  • Earn up to 30 college credits

We would like to give school counselors and college advisers the opportunity to nominate students who display promise as aspiring college students. Students nominated for the Access program should demonstrate:

  • Academic promise and potential
  • Motivation to learn and succeed in a university environment
  • Desire to take an active role in their education
  • Commitment to hard work and realization of goals
  • Interest in being part of, and contributing to, a learning community

Nomination Process:

  • Counselors can nominate up to five students
  • For every five students nominated per school, an NYUSPS representative will personally visit your high school and assist the nominated students in the application completion process
  • Nominated students will be viewed as priority candidates
  • Counselors are responsible for submitting the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of candidates
  • Counselors are responsible for ensuring that nominated students complete the application
  • For every five nominated students that submit and complete the Access application, we will host your school at NYUSPS Access Day on campus
