This course provides the foundation for individuals pursuing a career in accounting and finance and presents the conceptual framework of accounting to enable a discussion of the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Topics covered include accounting for receivables, inventory valuation, the acquisition and disposition of fixed assets, depreciation and impairments, and intangible assets. Additional balance sheet topics and topics pertaining to the income statement and statement of cash flows are covered in Intermediate Accounting: Part II.

3.5 CEU (36 50-minute hours)

Prerequisites: Financial Accounting: Part I/ACCT1-CE8101 and Part II/ACCT1-CE8102, or equivalent knowledge.
