Continuing Education: Real Estate

This hands-on, lab-based course provides an introduction to the Autodesk Revit platform and the tools and features common to Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP. Topics include an introduction to the interfaces; a comparison of the feature differences and similarities across the three versions; levels and grids; model and annotation elements; multiple detailing methods; relationships between views and the data; graphic manipulation; rendering; importing vector and raster data; linking projects; shared coordinates; toposurfaces; phases, phase filters, and graphic overrides; type and instance parameters; 3D perspectives and isometrics; an introduction to the mass modeling environment; the IFC and OBDC database; running interference checks; creating and modifying families; and worksharing and collaboration.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM)/AEAC1-CE8005 or equivalent.
