Photography 101

ARTA1-CE9101 / $325
SPRING 2012
Continuing Education: Arts Programs

Designed for those new to both photography and digital media, this course helps students develop their skills taking snapshots, portraits, and street and travel photography. Since taking good photos requires not only an interesting subject but also attention to basic elements of composition and appropriate lighting, the class focuses on developing an eye for photography through color, lighting, composition, and editing. It covers basic camera controls so that students maintain maximum flexibility with their cameras. Students work with either a point-and-shoot or digital SLR camera and should bring an automatic camera or be prepared to purchase one after consultation with the instructor.

No grades issued.
