Visit New York City's museums and galleries to gain fresh insight into the meaning and inspiration of today's art. Explore the changing art scene firsthand during field outings to artists' spaces and auction houses; galleries in SoHo, Chelsea, and on 57th Street and Madison Avenue; and at the Metropolitan, Whitney, and Guggenheim Museums. Discuss the societal, economic, and political forces that transform the art of this century.

Tuition does not include museum fees. No grades issued.
