Practice essential recording techniques for a variety of media projects and get hands-on training to create professional quality sound in different environments. Whether recording audio for a film, video, or new media production, explore strategies for capturing optimal sound. This course covers basic sonic principles along with audio acquisition equipment, including digital and analog recording devices. Learn techniques to record and mix narration, live action, and sound effects for documentaries and feature films. Lectures and demonstrations cover microphone patterns and placement and the crucial relationship between sound, camera, and action.
