With careful planning, starting your own business is entirely possible--even in challenging times. Many companies lack capital at the outset, yet find success by following smart business management strategies. In this workshop, focus on what is required to start your own business, and how you can make a little money go a long way by planning carefully and using proven strategies for achieving success. Covering every step required to set up and organize a business, this class guides students through the beginning from scratch, finding their niche, financing, understanding legal issues, time management, market research, creating a business image, and setting fees and rates.
