Designed for the novice investor, this course introduces concepts important to managing a portfolio and provides students with the ability to make confident decisions about their personal finances. Topics include understanding a brokerage account, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the characteristics of stocks and bonds, the basic valuation of stocks, taxes for the investor, and the psychology of investing.
