Financial Calculator Proficiency Exam

This exam is designed to test students on the use of the financial calculator. All students in the Certificate in Financial Planning program must pass a calculator proficiency examination with a minimum grade of 70 percent. The purpose of this exam is to ensure that students are able to apply the theory they have learned in their courses to solving practical financial problems in a timely manner. The exam includes problems related to time value of money, cash flow, standard deviation, growth rates and geometric averages, mortgage calculations, college funding, security valuation, basic statistic applications, and various other investment problems.

Take the exam after completing FP1, FP2, and FP3.
