This is the capstone course of the Certificate in Filmmaking program in which students combine the technical experience and aesthetic knowledge garnered from other courses to produce an eight minute, festival length, 16mm, live-action dramatic film. Through lectures and demonstrations, students are guided through script development, pre-production, casting, and techniques for directing a narrative film with dialogue. Students then advance to synchronization, editing, and finalization of the picture and sound using Final Cut Pro. If you have a script, it may be submitted one week prior to the first class session to gain a head start. Film match back procedures are demonstrated in class.
