Continuing Education: Management and Information Technology

This course provides IT professionals with an introduction to the core concepts of information systems security: access control; administration; auditing and monitoring; and risk, response, and recovery. Learn how policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines are established to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Become familiar with security measures applied to networking, transmission methods, and the operation of private and public networks. Understand countermeasures and prevention techniques for dealing with malicious code and gain an understanding of how security is implemented in multiple technology environments, including client/server, Web, mainframe, wireless, and RFID.
