Continuing Education: Management and Information Technology

Gain a firm foundation in basic database administration, succesfully install and maintain an Oracle database, and acquire a conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. Learn how to create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner, including performance monitoring, database security, user management, and backup/recovery techniques. Structured hands-on practice reinforces lesson topics. This course prepares students for the Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate Exam 1Z0-052 (one exam required).

Prerequisite: Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL/INFO1-CE9629 or equivalent knowledge.

As an Oracle University, NYU is required to exclusively use Oracle's official curriculum and materials. Students must purchase course materials from the NYU Bookstore in the form of Oracle eKits. Hard copy materials are not offered.
