Python is an increasingly popular interpreted programming language used in a variety of domains. Emphasizing programmer productivity and code readability, Python offers strong support for integration with other languages and tools, comes with extensive standard libraries, and can be learned quickly. Gain a comprehensive introduction to the elements of Python--including types, operators, statements, classes, functions, modules, and exceptions, discover how to solve common programming tasks, and learn how to write complete stand-alone applications.

Prerequisite: Experience with loops, if statements, and functions as implemented in languages such as C, Java, Javascript, Perl, PHP, and Ruby.
