Continuing Education: Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting

This course provides advanced training in simultaneous interpreting. Classes are held in the Language Laboratory where, with the help of an instructor, students master the techniques of fluent and accurate simultaneous interpreting, focusing on court interpreting. Using criminal court and civil court proceedings, expand your vocabulary and improve your comprehension and speed.

Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Court Interpreting/INTR1-CE9601 and Simultaneous Interpreting I/INTR1-CE9610.

This course is applicable toward:

• Certificate in Court Interpreting: Spanish/English
