Continuing Education: Accounting, Taxation, and Legal Programs

Survey legal relationships, with an emphasis on rights and liabilities between and among persons and entities. Gain an understanding of the sources of law, methods of legal analysis, and alternatives for civil dispute resolution. A principal focus is the common law of contracts, including legal capacity, mutual assent, consideration, illegality, and remedies for breach of contract. We also cover torts--including negligence, intentional torts, strict liability, and the measure and imposition of civil damages--and corporate law, including the nature, formation, and powers of a corporation.
