In this course, students learn the laws of hiring, promotion, recruitment, and discharge, anti-discrimination and harassment laws, time and leave laws, worker safety and injury compensation, immigration controls, class actions, dispute resolution, and labor relations in unionized environments. These topics are presented with readings from the text and current legal materials, using real-life cases to maximize student discussion.
