Continuing Education: Philanthropy and Fundraising

While the overwhelming majority of fundraisers are honest, any hint of subterfuge or abuse taints the profession and chills donor generosity. Address the responsibility of institutions to protect donor interests and respect the intent of their gifts, and to be accountable to donors and the public. Examine the responsibility of boards of trustees in upholding and adhering to prescribed ethical standards in fundraising, including criteria for accepting or rejecting contributions.
