Like all "data gatherers," it is critical that you are sensitive to misuses of statistics that can harm your organization. This course is for nonresearchers who want to learn more about finding, assessing, creating, and buying information. Topics include what research journalists actually do, types of research PR people can do in-house, the range of databases and other services that can be purchased, assessment and purchasing of professional research services, effective communicating of complex information, and professional and ethical issues.
