The Capstone Thesis Course is a professional workshop that requires students to complete a business plan for a new magazine brand with full digital extensions, book or web-only property with rich publishing content. Students enhance their knowledge of business plan preparation through class discussion and presentations by the faculty and guests. Case studies of successful businesses are presented to help students in refining their own plans through the progression of the course. Students also study successful research methods, financial modeling and competitive analysis. By the end of the course, students are equipped to present a summation of their plans to a panel of industry leaders.
