Writing and Speech
Do you have trouble deciding where to place a comma, if at all? Can you determine when it's best to use who instead of whom? Are you driven to distraction when you have to choose between affect/effect, its/it's, or lie/lay? Find out the answers to these questions and other word usage problems that perplex people from all professions and every walk of life. Topics include subject-verb agreement, pronoun reference, the proper formation of plurals and possessives, commas and semicolons, word choice, and other equally bothersome grammatical questions. No grades are issued for this course.
