FALL 2008
Have you run out of momentum on the novel you've been writing? Or are you carrying around an idea that somehow never gets drafted? This four hour seminar is for writers of prose narrative who want to learn techniques for getting started or restarted on a large writing project. The seminar provides exercises and ideas to help get your project moving to the next stage. Topics include "Outlining: Help or Hindrance?," the Archipelago method of drafting, scene as the building block of the novel, and moving forward with quotidian scenes and set pieces. Draft new material, think about how to sustain the writing of a book, and end the session with five to ten new pages to move you forward.
