FALL 2009
Continuing Education:
Writing and Speech
In this all-day workshop, learn how to use meditation as a tool to deepen and broaden the writing process, elicit and sharpen your voice, and clarify the story that wants to be told. Alternating periods of writing and meditation, the course explores how stillness avails the space for our stories to unfold on the page. Each participant is encouraged to evolve a narrative, fiction or nonfiction, over the course of the day. If there is a story tapping you on the shoulder--what Willa Cather calls "that which teases the mind"--begin writing it at this workshop.
