Continuing Education: Real Estate

Learn how the world of real estate meets the world of finance and how debt and equity is raised to finance real estate transactions. Topics include the structure and participants of the public and private real estate capital markets; sources of debt and equity financing; deal structuring; tranches; risk and return; note structures; mezzanine debt; REOCs; real estate related bonds; private and public real estate investment trusts (REITs); commercial real estate debt markets including the mortgage finance system; securitization; and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).

Prerequisite: Introduction to Real Estate Finance/REFI1-CE9100 or equivalent.
