Continuing Education: Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting

This course is for students who have never before studied Russian. It introduces the alphabet and simple grammatical notions such as cases and some tenses. All four skills are taught. Students are introduced to everyday conversational patterns from the very beginning. The course is conducted in the target language as much as possible. The textbook used in this class is Nachalo: When in Russia Lubensky et al (McGraw-Hill).

Counts as one course toward the certificate.
