Continuing Education:
Writing and Speech
Are you comfortable giving prepared talks but get tongue-tied when asked to speak off-the-cuff? Whether your presentation is for a board of directors or a classroom of kids, being in the spotlight can be nerve-wracking. This course is designed to help students develop poise, clarity, and a sense of ease with impromptu speaking. Brush up on formal presentation techniques while learning how to prepare for the unexpected with in-class exercises. The instructor provides constructive feedback on each person's performance. Self-monitoring is encouraged and aided through the use of videotaping.
