This hands-on course provides a comprehensive model that demonstrates how to select and partner with appropriate vendors from an operational, logistical, and tactical perspective. Learn how to qualify vendor services, understand the interrelationships that maximize their capabilities, and appreciate the value of their contributions as stakeholders. Topics include airline travel, procuring housing, destination management, working with convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs), developing a request for proposal, the production process, negotiating contracts, and communicating with multiple stakeholders. Guest speakers from various disciplines contribute to the learning process.
