Continuing Education: Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management

A successful conference or meeting requires the accomplishment of numerous well-planned and predetermined tasks, as well as a solid understanding of the critical elements that must be considered in the planning process. Learn the importance of establishing clear meeting objectives and how to apply the principles of adult learning to program development. This course outlines how to create meeting goals, negotiate with suppliers, register participants, and manage on-site tasks.

Required text: The Convention Industry Council Manual: A Working Guide for Effective Meetings and Conventions, 8th edition, 2007.
