Introduction to CAT and Terminology Management

Continuing Education: Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting

Learn the basic concepts and components of CAT tools and terminology management using a few of the more common tools. Prepare for work with technologies and processes to use these tools more effectively, including internationalization issues that impact translators, how to handle a variety of file formats, how to build concept-oriented terminology lists, and how technologies, such as machine translation, affect translators in the industry today.

This is a core course for all language pairs. This course is offered during the fall and spring semesters.
