In this course, students gain a thorough overview of the field of translation. They learn the basic skills and techniques to translate texts and how to find the resources to solve translation problems. The course covers medical translation, news translation, legal translation, business and financial translation, and other topics. The course reviews grammatical difficulties (both in English and Spanish) and focuses on comparative studies of grammatical structures as well as glossary building.

Admission to this program is available only in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
